S- Band importance

so now we can see how important is s-band as bsnl itself is paying so much of money think about how much the private org will be benefited if the license is given

In India, of the 190 Mhz, the Department of Space was given 150 Mhz — 30 years ago — for Broadcast Satellite Service and Mobile Satellite Service. Twenty Mhz was recently given to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd for offering broadband spectrum. BSNL and MTNL were asked to pay Rs. 12,847 crore for their 20 Mhz. But Devas is getting access to 70 Mhz in the same band for just over Rs. 1,000 crore.

usage of s-band will post it tomorrw

wat is Glonass satellite

"GLObal NAvigation Satellite System" in English) is a radio-based satellite navigation system operated for the Russian government by the Russian Space Forces. It's an alternative and complementary to the United States Global Positioning System (GPS), the Chinese Compass navigation system, and the planned Galileo positioning system of the European Union (EU).

The Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) is based on a constellation of active satellites which continuously transmit coded signals in two frequency bands, which can be received by users anywhere on the Earth's surface to identify their position and velocity in real time based on ranging measurements. The system is a counterpart to the United States Global Positioning System (GPS) and both systems share the same principles in the data transmission and positioning methods.

A good news for india in the field of GPS

Russia a good friend of India has launched a glonass satellite , which is major boost for India in the filed of Navigation , GPS
by using this satellite the reliability is increased by 15 percent
and appox they will cover 100% global coverage

why S-band is so importtant

The s-band is unique because it has a substantial amount of spectrum (190 MHz) that can be put to use for mobile services. All other spectrum bands up to 3.5 GHz include significantly smaller amounts of spectrum for terrestrial mobile communication, or are not available.

About S-band

The S-band spectrum is extremely valuable for mobile broadband services, in terms of usage as well as money. The frequency, also known as 2.5 Ghz band, is globally used for providing mobile broadband services using fourth generation technologies such as WiMax and Long Term Evolution (LTE).

S-band spectrum

The S band is spectrum used by weather radar, surface ship radar, and some communications satellites which is one of the important spectrum , so all will get a doubt why it is so important
because ................

Now a future scam in communicaiton

now that all are aware of 2G spectrum scam , it has been hot topics so all forgot about S-band spectrum scam , which cost more than 2G spectrum scam.

Now u want to know wat is S-band scam so frnds will post it tomorrow
